Overview
This seven-day trip watches the total solar eclipse of 2 August 2027 from the far south of Egypt, close to the island temple of Philae, then sails north along the Nile through Kom Ombo, Edfu and Luxor.
It opens with the Pyramids of Cairo and the Grand Egyptian Museum and combines the astronomical highlight with the classic temples of Upper Egypt, all with a private guide and a comfortable cruise.

Your representative meets you at Cairo International Airport and transfers you to your hotel, with the evening free. Overnight in Cairo.

A full day at the Pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx with your Egyptologist, followed by the Grand Egyptian Museum after lunch. Overnight in Cairo. (Breakfast, Lunch)

Fly south to Aswan, where your guide leads you to a viewing point close to the Temple of Philae for the solar eclipse of 2 August 2027. Afterwards you embark your Nile cruise. Overnight aboard. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

The cruise sails north to Kom Ombo, where you explore the striking double temple shared by the gods Sobek and Horus, high above the river. Overnight aboard. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Visit the great Temple of Horus at Edfu, then continue to Luxor to explore the East Bank temples of Karnak and Luxor. Overnight aboard. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
