Overview
On 2 August 2027 the moon’s shadow races across southern Egypt and plunges Luxor – the ancient city of Thebes – into darkness in the middle of the afternoon. This compact five-day journey is made for travellers who want to witness that rare spectacle without committing to a longer trip.
You will spend two unhurried days in Cairo among the Pyramids of Giza and the treasures of the Grand Egyptian Museum, then fly south to Luxor to stand among the temples as day briefly turns to night. A private Egyptologist guide, a personal driver and comfortable hotels accompany you throughout, so your only task is to look up. It is history and astronomy wrapped into one unforgettable trip.
