Your day begins with a hotel pickup to start an immersive exploration of Egypt’s Old Kingdom highlights alongside your private Egyptologist guide. Head first to the Giza Plateau for a detailed visit to the world-famous pyramids: the Great Pyramid of King Khufu (Cheops), followed by the Pyramid of King Khafre (Chephren) and the Pyramid of Menkaure (Mycerinus). Nearby, stop to admire the Great Sphinx and continue to the Valley Temple, where ancient mummification rituals were once carried out.
If you wish to add a special desert perspective, there is an optional 30-minute camel ride across the Giza Plateau available for an additional fee, offering excellent panoramic views and memorable photos.
Afterward, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before continuing south to Saqqara. Here you will visit the Step Pyramid of King Djoser, the first pyramid ever built and a landmark achievement designed by the architect Imhotep. Your visit also includes key Saqqara sites such as the Pyramid of Teti and the beautifully decorated tombs of Saqqara’s nobles, providing valuable insight into ancient Egyptian society and religious ideas.
From Saqqara, drive about 20 minutes to Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt. Walk through the open-air museum to see major treasures, including the colossal statue of Ramses II and the Alabaster Sphinx, renowned for its scale and craftsmanship.
At the end of this comprehensive day, you will be driven back to your hotel in comfort.
