Your day begins with hotel pickup and a comfortable transfer in a private air-conditioned vehicle to the Egyptian Museum. Among the highlights are the treasures of King Tutankhamun, including his golden jewelry, funerary mask, and personal belongings that have survived in extraordinary condition for over 3,000 years.
After the museum visit, continue to the Citadel of Salah al-Din, one of Cairo’s most celebrated Islamic monuments. Inside this historic stronghold, tour the Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali, admired for its Ottoman architectural style and its distinctive presence above the city. As you explore, learn how the Citadel served for centuries as a key seat of power for Egypt’s rulers.
