Your day begins with hotel pickup to start a private exploration of Luxor’s East and West Banks alongside your Egyptologist guide and personal driver. Head first to the West Bank to see the Colossi of Memnon, the pair of immense seated statues rising more than 18 meters, created for Pharaoh Amenhotep III. Continue to the Temple of Hatshepsut at El Deir El Bahri, an impressive monument set against the cliffs and dedicated to one of Egypt’s most notable female rulers.
Next, visit the Valley of the Kings, where more than 60 rock-cut tombs were prepared as royal burial places for New Kingdom pharaohs, including the renowned tomb of Tutankhamun. Afterward, stop by a local alabaster workshop to observe traditional techniques and craftsmanship that remain part of Luxor’s living culture today.
Lunch is served at a high-quality local restaurant before you return to the East Bank. There, explore the Karnak Temple Complex, famous as the largest religious complex ever constructed. Walk through the remarkable Hypostyle Hall and view Hatshepsut’s Obelisk, known as the tallest obelisk of its kind in Egypt. Conclude the day at Luxor Temple in the heart of the city, a refined sanctuary associated with the renewal of kingship and closely linked to the Opet Festival. At the end of your visits, you will be driven back to your hotel.
