Your private guide will meet you at your hotel in Luxor for an early departure by air-conditioned vehicle to begin a full day devoted to two of Upper Egypt’s most meaningful temple complexes.
Start with Abydos, long honored by the ancient Egyptians as the resting place of Osiris, god of the afterlife. Visit the Temple of Seti I, established by Seti I and later finished by his son Ramses II. Located about 135 km north of Luxor in Sohag Governorate, this sanctuary is renowned for exceptionally well-preserved wall reliefs and painted scenes portraying pharaohs, deities, and sacred ceremonies. You will also see how the wider area is connected to Egypt’s earliest dynasties through ancient tombs, alongside its strong ties to the New Kingdom period.

Continue onward to Dendera to explore the Temple of Hathor, dedicated to the goddess of love, joy, and music. One of Egypt’s most complete temples, it is admired for its vivid ceilings, carefully carved hieroglyphs, and distinctive monumental façade, making it a standout stop among Luxor excursions.
After your visits, you will travel back comfortably to Luxor and be dropped off at your hotel.
